Feb. 6 [7:55 EST] — Someone has finally nudged No Doubt out of the top spot on Billboard’s album chart after the band’s „Tragic Kingdom“ spent eight weeks at number one.
Late rapper Tupac Shakur and the soundtrack to his movie „Gridlock’d“ debuted in the chart’s top slot selling more than 150,000 copies in its first week, according to Reuters news service.
The soundtrack, released by the beleaguered Death Row Records, was bolstered by the track „Wanted Dead Or Alive“ which features Tupac and Snoop Doggy Dogg.
According to Reuters, No Doubt slipped to third on the chart, and the soundtrack to Madonna’s „Evita“ dropped into the third spot.
