JOHN NORRIS: Hi, I’m John Norris…
SERENA ALTSCHUL: And I’m Serena Altschul and welcome to „The Week In Rock“ coming to you this week from Panama City Beach Florida, which can only mean it’s time for Spring Break again, Spring Break ’97.
SERENA: It’s been pretty insane down here, we’re going to show you some of the music and all the madness, some partying spring breakers, but first we’re going to check into the New York City studio where they’re going to bring us all the top stories of the week.
KURT: Thanks, guys, John and Serena will have more from Panama City in a bit, but first, here’s a look at some of the week’s other stories. MTV News this week reported on Tuesday that it had obtained a 29-page document prepared by police in Compton, California, which was attached to a motion filed in court by attorneys for Death Row Records chief Suge Knight.
This document reveals that, only days after the shooting in Las Vegas of rapper Tupac Shakur last September, cops already had the name of the man gang informants say pulled the trigger. It should be emphasized that this document is based on the word of informants, and does not, in itself, constitute proof of anything, that must be done in court. However, the Compton Police document does contain a startling account of the events that led up to Shakur’s killing, and a shot-by-shot chronicle of the five-day blood bath that followed it, a gang war that apparently left three men dead and 10 wounded.

KURT: On Wednesday, Orlando Anderson gave an exclusive interview to CNN, in which he said he did not kill Tupac Shakur.
